WWII

2015-05-06

In 1945 the Second World War - the deadliest conflict in human history, was over. Victory Day marks the capitulation of Nazi Germany, when the surrender document was signed late in the evening on 8 May 1945 (after midnight, thus on 9 May, by Moscow Time). Until now this public holiday is celebrated to mark the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces. With it came the end of six years of misery, suffering, courage and endurance across the world. We congratulate each and everyone on the Victory Day! May it never happen again!
